Just imagine if you really could fly to Kolob, traveling so fast that you arrive in the time it takes to blink an eye. Then, continuing at that same speed, you continued flying forever. The plan of salvation is eternal, truth is eternal – even you, as an individual, are eternal. You have an Eternal Father who loves you infinitely, and wants your success more than you do. He will not remove your agency to choose how you spend eternity. He will allow you to choose which path to take, and He will not change the consequences of those paths.
The next time you find yourself getting caught up in the unimportant things of life, just remember that life really is eternal. The things that will be important to you in ten thousand years are the things that should be most important to you now – and you will be around in ten thousand years.
